Forever Winter

Forever Winter is a second-chance-at-love, steamy romance novella inspired by the Taylor Swift song of the same name.

Kate is a traditionalist. Inspired by the greats, spending her days teaching her craft at the local university and her nights sipping wine at galleries, staring at paintings affixed to white walls. James is a wildcard. The classic tortured artist type. Spending his days in his studio, wholly uninspired by everyday life, and his nights hanging from rise-rises, illegally spray-painting murals onto office buildings.

She’s his muse. He’s the storm she can’t help but be pulled into.

Two artists. A decade of history. A second change to make things right.

James is… James. My James. Stormy, melancholic, passionate, obsessive. The mind of an artist. Always dark. Always restless. A mix of rain and sleet and snow. An endless winter.

Sometimes I forget what it’s like with him, how the world can feel like this uninspiring mess of beiges and greys, and then he storms in and suddenly the world is screaming in colour.

But when he leaves—and he always leaves—my world becomes a colourless canvas of cold, black paint that covers up all my light. And he’s the one with the goddamn paintbrush.
