If you told me two years ago that I’d be publishing a book, I’d have called you crazy. Me? What business do I have calling myself an author? I’m no SJM, I’m no JLA, I’m no JKR.
I know NOTHING (John Snoooowww) about publishing (let alone self-publishing), and besides, I have no stories to tell, no stories worth writing, no words of brilliance that are going to get me on a best seller’s list.
I’m still really not sure if I’ll ever land myself on a best seller’s list, but I sure as hell have stories to tell, and they are soooo worth writing, even if in the end, it’s just me who’s reading them.
That has never been clearer to me than on the day I got the proof copy of the first paper back I’ll ever publish.
It was surreal as F.
And honestly, I cried a little. Alright, I cried A LOT.
But the thing about chasing your dreams (cheesy as that sounds), is that once you get a taste of it, of it actually starting to happen, it’s hard as hell to stop running at it.
In my two years of novel writing, I’ve progressed fourteen different stories, and while I don’t plan on publishing all of them, once I started hammering on the keys of my laptop and throwing the words out on my screen, I jsut couldn’t stop.
So if you care, if you’re at all interested, here are the main works I’ll be diving into in the next year or so:
Soldiers of Sin – Books 2 and 3
>Sons of Anarchy Vibes with more spice and less infidelity<
SoS holds just like the biggest part of my heart right now, and I am LITERALLY DYING to tell Kat and Axe’s story. And Preacher’s story. And tell you all about Bane and Tex. And about Officer Lionel Decker.
Book 2 (entitled That Girl is Trouble) is scheduled for June 2023, with book 3 (entitled Abandon All Faith) scheduled for December 2023.
The Deadlands
>Mad Max meets Dishonoured, but with sex<
Deadlands is set far in the future. The earth is a post-apocalyptic wasteland where magic is poison and scavenging is life. Is there spice? Yes. Is there plot? Hell yes. Is there a friends-to-lovers vs enemies-to-lovers love triangle? You bet there is!
This book is about survival, classism in a world trying to rebuild, and the inevitable war that breaks out between the haves, and the have nots. If I told you that I know how it ends, I’d be lying, but I’m excited to figure out what my brain has in store for this one!
The Bookbinder Series
>Inkheart meets Jumanji meets… Shadowhunters?<
A quirky bookbinder with a love for all things written, a manipulative warlock with an ulterior motive, a magic jungle, a book of power, and a tattooed map. Maybe a sprinkle of time travel.
More plot than spice, but you know I’ll never let you down with the dirty talk.
The Redcloaks are Coming
>Little Red Riding Hood re-telling meets dark romance<
Exactly how it sounds. She’s a red-cloaked huntress, adept with a bow, born to hunt his kind, he’s a vicious wolf shifter, bred to tear her apart. There’s kidnapping, there’s torture, there’s primal kink. This enemies-to-lovers dark romance will have you squirming!
This Bucket List Belongs to Emily Nash
>Eat Pray Love vibes with less pray and more love (and by love… I mean sex)<
You ever wonder what it would be like to dedicate your entire being to your marriage, only to walk in on him fucking his assistant?
There you were, leftover spaghetti in hand, walking into his office becuase the man’s been working late every damn night for a week adn youthought he might be getting hungry. But you don’t find him alone. You find him balls deep in the bitch who, just last week, was smiling at you at the company picnic.
Emily Nash gave up her hopes and dreams and aspirations to become a housewife.
Emily Nash has become less.
Emily Nash is empyting his bank account and getting on a goddamn plane.
To where? She has no idea. But she’s about to cross a fucking ocean and she’ll be damned if she lets another man get in her damn way.
