Hey there! I’m Kelsey Elizabeth Wood, and I’m an independent Canadian romance author who writes steamy romance novels with smokin’ hot, dirty-talking book boyfriends and feisty female leads.
As far back as I can remember, I’ve been a day dreamer. Those daydreams turned into stories. Those stories turned into new worlds and alternate realities with monsters and heroes and villains. I created plots and personalities and tragic backstories all in my mind and finally decided to put them to paper.
Hills I will die on and mantras I live by…
> If you want the cupcake then eat the damn cupcake.
> Taylor Swift is the true queen (give Taylor back her scarf, Jake).
> I am team manuscript (if you know, you know)
“I think you know I could have this whenever the fuck I want. I could pull off this tight little dress you’re wearing, and you’d happily get on your back.” He smiles, “Or your knees. Maybe I should shove my cock down your throat and show you exactly what I think of that mouth.”
—Jack “Graves” McKenna, Bad Bad Man
As a native to Northern Ontario, I’m snowed in six to eight months a year, and during these cold, treacherous times, you can usually find me sequestered in my office or at my kitchen table, coffee in hand, where I write profusely about magic, post-apocalyptic wastelands, bad ass bikers with hearts of gold, and men in all shades of morally grey.
I live with my husband and my two small parrots, who enjoy screaming profusely any time I sit down to write (my birds, not my husband), and when I’m not writing, you’ll typically find me lost in a book, or binge watching some mid-2000s procedural crime drama with an enemies-to-lovers subplot (because who didn’t Love Castle and Kate, Booth and Brennan, Jane and Lisbon, the list goes on.)
